This sauce was honestly a revelation to us. We love pasta and have it pretty often since it’s our go-to meal when we don’t know what we want to eat. Usually we have our pasta with a tomato sauce, pretty standard, but there’s something about a creamy white sauce that is super satisfying. We came up with this cheesy vegan pasta after accidentally buying an onion powder instead of garlic powder (the labels looked super similar!) and the result was delicious! We make this pretty often now and it’s a great way to mix up your pasta sauce rotation.

Ingredients:

⅔ cup cashews

1 cup water

2 heaping tbsp nutritional yeast

¾ tsp salt

¾ tsp onion powder

Pepper to taste

Method:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high for approx. 1 minute until smooth.

Add to your favorite pasta and enjoy!
